We have an exciting update on these boys! If you have been following the sad story of this adorable father and son team dumped at the shelter by their owner, then you will be happy to know that with time, they ARE ok with other pets! They need a lot of desensitizing which means using some puppy gates and tools to keep them separate and able to smell the other pets, but they CAN be in a home with other pets. Also, we are finding that while they love each other, they really could each go to a home on their own. Jake and Gateway were left at the Summit Shelter by their owner back this past spring. They are one ADORABLE pair of wiggly love bugs! Gateway,10, is blind and his father Jake,11, are now crate trained, housebroken and can be meshed with other pets given time. They are very entertaining and always eager to please. They were literally on the brink of death once saved as they were suffering from pneumonia. Gateway, the blind son, was so ill at times, he would simply fall over. We nurtured them back to health, and now theyre like 2 puppies with a second life! These boys have come back to life in hope of better lives, and we believe they should have a nice long retirement. Thank you for reading this!
